If you want to have afast and easy online presence,
you just need a blog. There are many free options such as Blogger
(Google) , Bloc.com
or CommentLuv.
All of these are free and easy to use or set up. The only problem is,
that hosting is at the owners of these sites and if they close down or
change their terms, your content and hard work might be at risk or
lost.
Wordpress
is my favourite and also the leader in the blog scene. They offer a
free hosted version at Wordpress.com
and a download version at Wordpress.org
which you can uplod to your own host and webportal. If you go for the
hostet version ithe same risk applies as said above. Whenever
you can, please decide for the download and self hosted version.
Then all content is and remains yours! This is very important if you
have already a lot of posts with valuable content.
Wordpress offers video tutorials and there are a lot of great and
useful ebooks, videos and tutorials on the market. They cover all the
details about Installing, design, plugins, seo and how to begin much
better than I could do here in some sentences. For that reason I
recommend you what helped me so much and I hope you can shorten your
learning curve with this information.
